Can I purchase tickets over the phone or on-line?

Yes! Tickets must be purchased on-line at www.playhouseonthegreen.org or by calling TheaterMania toll-free at (866) 811-4111. Tickets may be purchased on-line up to 2 hours before performance time on the day of the performance. Didn’t buy on-line in time? Call the Playhouse Info Line: (203) 333-3666.

Purchasing tickets in advance on-line or by phone is strongly recommended as performances may sell out. To purchase tickets you’ll need a credit card (MasterCard, Visa, Discover, or American Express).

Is the Playhouse a “community theater”?

Yes. We cast non-equity actors in our productions, including those who may have professional experience and those who may not have experience but have raw talent and are game to work hard to gain new skills. Though our productions may not be “professional” by the strictest standards of the industry, we certainly strive to create a professional environment and expect serious cooperation on the part of everyone involved in our productions to create shows that are “by and for the community” but a cut above one’s expectation of “community theater”.

Can Playhouse on the Green accommodate the physically disabled or those who have difficulty climbing stairs?

Yes, Playhouse on the Green makes every effort to accommodate patrons with disabilities. There are wheelchair-accessible seats in our orchestra level seating that may be accessed by ramp, and our balcony level is accessible by elevator. To reserve handicapped-accessible seats, please call our information line at (203) 333-3666. This way we can insure you will get the seating you require, and we can be ready to assist you when you arrive.

Does Playhouse on the Green have a resident acting company?

No. We audition actors, singers, and dancers for each show separately. You can find out about our upcoming and current auditions in the Opportunities section of our website; we also advertise our auditions in the Connecticut Post, other Fairfield County-area newspapers, and on New England-area theater websites.
