New Year’s Eve Celebration at the Playhouse!
On Wednesday, December 31 from 4PM-8PM, Playhouse on the Green is proud to participate in Bridgeport’s “Best Night New Year’s Eve Celebration”!
Downtown Bridgeport will be bustling with festive fun for families at three different locations, all within walking distance of the Playhouse! The Bridgeport Downtown Special Services District invites you to park in the People’s United Bank garage and stroll the streets of Bridgeport with your friends and family to ring in the New Year.
You and your family will be entertained by a magician, puppeteer, face-painter, festive holiday singing and you will be able to participate in a variety of interactive craft activities for children of all ages. All visitors to the museum will be able to register to win a family four pack of tickets to Disney On Ice presents Mickey and Mickey’s Magical Journey playing January 1-4, 2009 at Arena at Harbor Yard.
The Playhouse presents a one-hour program of music, comedy, and family theater performance in its beautiful 228-seat jewel-box auditorium from 4:30PM-5:30PM.
The evening will conclude at the Barnum Museum with a magical “family countdown and balloon drop” at exactly 8:00 p.m. Special Celebrities will be on hand to assist with the drop and colorful confetti cannons will flare to make sure the New Year begins ceremoniously!
